About the Role

A professional-level sales position supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. This role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts, with the ability to assist DIY customers through advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project support. The position involves sourcing parts from multiple channels, including special orders and inventory management. The role is full-time.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate selling experiences for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
  • Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
  • Manage DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance.
  • Perform key holder responsibilities, including task assignment, safety, and open/close duties.
  • Assist in store inventory processes, including truck put-away, cycle counts, and back stock management.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot upkeep.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of automotive systems (e.g., internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, exhaust) and diagnostic ability.
  • Ability to speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and execute instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment.
  • Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, Excel).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience.
  • Proven sales ability with experience in customer transaction fulfillment.
  • ASE Certification preferred but not required.
