About the Role

A professional-level sales position supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. This role requires expert knowledge of store systems, advanced automotive system knowledge, and part expertise. Responsibilities include advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project assistance for DIY customers, as well as sourcing parts from multiple channels. The position is full-time.

Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance.
• Perform key holder responsibilities (task assignment, safety, open/close duties).
• Assist in store inventory processes including truck put-away, shoot outs, cycle counts, and back stock.
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.

• Advanced parts lookup, sourcing, and selling skills for DIY.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of automotive systems (internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, exhaust, etc.) and diagnostic ability.
• Ability to speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, Excel).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work varied days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience.
• Proven sales ability with past experience in customer transactions.
• ASE Certification preferred but not required.

Physical Demands

This role involves physical tasks such as stocking parts, maintaining store cleanliness, and performing DIY services. Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws is required.
