About the Role

A professional-level sales position supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. This role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts, with the ability to assist DIY customers through advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project support. The position is full-time.

Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance.
• Perform key holder responsibilities (task assignment, safety, open/close duties).
• Assist in store inventory processes including truck put-away, cycle counts, and back stock management.
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of automotive systems (e.g., internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, exhaust) and diagnostic ability.
• Ability to speak and write English (Spanish a plus); strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of prior automotive parts experience.
• Proven sales ability with experience in customer transactions.
• ASE P2 certification or equivalent ASE-ready knowledge (preferred but not required).

Skills

• Advanced automotive system and parts knowledge.
• Expertise in testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services.
• Advanced parts lookup, sourcing, and project assistance.
• Proficiency in operating POS, parts lookup systems, and inventory systems.
• Advanced selling skills for DIY customers.

Pay

The estimated compensation range for this role is $18.85–$20.98 USD per hour for new team members. The final rate depends on factors such as geographic location, experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and shift differentials (if applicable).
