About the Role

A professional-level sales position supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. This role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts, with the ability to assist DIY customers through advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project support. The position is full-time.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate selling experiences for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance.
• Perform key holder responsibilities (task assignment, safety, open/close duties).
• Assist in store inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, etc.).
• Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot).

Skills & Qualifications

• Working knowledge of automotive systems (engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust) and diagnostic ability.
• Fluent in English (Spanish a plus); strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) in all units of measure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Experience

• 3–5 years of prior automotive parts experience.
• Proven sales ability with customer transaction fulfillment.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• ASE Certification preferred but not required.

Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding physical job requirements.

Pay

The estimated hourly range for this role is $15.60–$17.35 USD for new team members, depending on geographic location, experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other relevant factors.
