About the Role

A professional-level sales position supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. This role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts, with the ability to assist DIY customers through advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project support. The position is full-time.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate selling experiences for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance.
• Perform key holder responsibilities (task assignment, safety, open/close duties).
• Assist in store inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, etc.).
• Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot).
• Operate inventory systems, POS, and parts lookup systems.
• Use testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services.
• Provide advanced solutions, project assistance, and product recommendations.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of automotive systems (engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong organizational and communication skills (English required; Spanish a plus).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of prior automotive parts experience.
• Proven sales ability with experience in customer transactions.
• ASE Certification preferred but not required.

• Advanced parts lookup and sourcing.
• Expertise in testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Advanced selling and project assistance skills.
• Safety knowledge and inventory system operation.

Pay

The good faith estimate for this role is between $15.60 USD and $17.35 USD per hour for new team members. The rate depends on geographic location, experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and shift differentials (if applicable).
