About the role
The Retail Team Lead at Office Depot is a part-time role responsible for providing "total solutions" to customers, covering products, technology, services, furniture, and print offerings. This role involves building and maintaining customer relationships, supporting sales, and contributing to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values.
Responsibilities
- Support efficient operation of the Print Services area, ensuring correct and timely completion of customer orders.
- Operate and assist associates with all equipment in the Print Services area, maintaining efficiency and adherence to visual merchandising standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and inefficiencies, and ensure compliance with loss prevention measures.
- Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, AOV, and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
- Drive positive client satisfaction by coaching and training associates, and participating in community outreach initiatives.
- Enhance the customer experience through effective communication and product knowledge, using sales and service tools provided.
- Perform external key carrier responsibilities, including opening and closing store responsibilities, and assist in cash handling, error logs, and audits.
- Support the management team during their absence, ensuring safety and security of the building and associates.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1-3 years of related experience in sales or customer service, basic computer skills, and attention to detail. Strong selling skills, excellent communication, and a positive attitude are essential.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 1-3 years of related experience in sales or customer service. Basic computer skills and ability to use job-related technology and POS systems. Attention to detail and experience in Print Services is desirable.
