Retail Part Time Team Lead
The Retail Team Lead is a part-time role providing “total solutions” to customers encompassing Products, Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print offerings. This role focuses on building and maintaining customer relationships, becoming a trusted advisor, and supporting a customer-centric environment aligned with Office Depot’s 5C values: Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, & Courageous. The Team Lead demonstrates passion for the brand and its offerings while utilizing proven sales principles to drive sales and assess customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Print Sales and Services: Support efficient operation of the Print function to drive store sales. Operate and assist associates on all Print Services equipment to ensure orders are completed correctly and on-time. Utilize communication tools to coordinate service for customers throughout the store.
- Operational Efficiency: Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards. Identify process improvements to reduce waste and inefficiencies. Ensure loss prevention compliance and contribute to sales growth through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction initiatives.
- Client Engagement: Drive positive client satisfaction by coaching and training associates to enhance the customer experience. Support community outreach initiatives for customer retention. Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge to deliver total solutions.
- External Key Carrier and Leader on Duty: Ensure the safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of the management team. Perform opening or closing responsibilities, including alarm activation/deactivation and cash office audits. Provide guidance to improve key performance indicators.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including loss prevention compliance and reviewing cash handling logs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1–3 years of related experience in sales and/or customer service.
- Basic computer skills; ability to use job-related technology and POS systems.
- Attention to detail, ideally with experience in Print Services.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $10.93 to $18.15 per hour, with adjustments made to comply with all state and local minimum wage laws.
