Retail Part Time Team Lead
About the role
The Retail Team Lead at Office Depot is a part-time role responsible for providing "total solutions" to customers, encompassing products, technology, services, furniture, and print offerings. The role involves building and maintaining customer relationships, supporting sales offerings, and contributing to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values.
Responsibilities
- Support efficient operation of the Print Services area, ensuring correct and timely completion of customer orders.
- Operate and assist associates on all equipment within the Print Services area, maintaining efficiency and ensuring client orders are completed correctly and on time.
- Utilize communication tools to request assistance within the Print Services area and coordinate appropriate service for all customers throughout the store.
- Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies, working with all associates to ensure compliance with loss prevention measures.
- Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
- Drive positive client satisfaction levels by coaching and training associates to enhance the customer experience, and support community outreach initiatives to drive client/customer retention.
- Continuously develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools provided to deliver the total solution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; support the company’s loss prevention efforts.
- Perform external key carrier responsibilities, including opening and closing responsibilities, and assist in review of cash handling, cashier, and merchandise error logs, register voids, tax exemption, and related cash office audits.
- Participate in Leader on Duty functions, ensuring the safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of the management team.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; 1-3 years related experience in sales and/or customer service preferred; basic computer skills; ability to use job-related technology and POS systems; attention to detail; experience in Print Services is preferred.

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule
The salary range for this role is $10.93/hour to $14.54/hour, with state and local minimum wages complying. The company offers competitive salaries, a benefits package including a 401(k), and ample opportunity for growth within the organization.
