About the role

The Retail Team Lead at Office Depot is a part-time role responsible for providing "total solutions" to customers, covering products, technology, services, furniture, and print offerings. The role involves building and maintaining customer relationships, supporting sales, engaging with the local community, and contributing to a positive corporate culture.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Print Sales and Services: Support efficient operation in the Print function, drive overall store sales, operate and assist associates on all equipment within the Print Services area, and communicate effectively to request assistance and coordinate service.

  • Operational Efficiency: Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhere to established procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards, identify areas for process improvement, and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies.

  • Client Engagement: Drive positive client satisfaction levels, coach and train associates to enhance the customer experience, support community outreach initiatives, and continuously develop personal selling skills and product knowledge.

  • External Key Carrier and Leader on Duty: Ensure safety and security during the absence of the management team, assist in loss prevention compliance, perform opening or closing responsibilities, and assist in cash handling, cashier, and merchandise error logs.

Education and Experience

  • A high school diploma or equivalent education preferred.

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in related fields, such as sales and/or customer service.

  • Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and technology for information access.

  • Skilled in customer service and print services experience is desired.

  • Advanced selling skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, adaptability to a changing environment, and the ability to assist others professionally.

  • Pays close attention to detail to ensure high-quality production in the Print Services area.

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule

The salary range for this role is $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, with compliance with state and local minimum wages resulting in possible adjustments to the salary range.
