Retail Part Time Store Associate(Print ,Pack & Ship)

About the role

As a Part‑Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, you will engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, creating a positive shopping experience while driving sales. You will recommend the right products, services, and solutions, uphold visual and merchandising standards, handle freight and logistics activities, and embody the Office Depot 5C values of Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, and Courageous. The position includes training in technology and print products/services and applying modern sales principles to support store growth.

The ODP Group, through ODP Business Solutions and Office Depot, provides products, services, and technology solutions via an integrated B2B distribution platform and omnichannel retail presence.

Primary responsibilities

• Customer‑centric experience: Proactively acknowledge and engage every customer, promote the best solutions and additional products/services, and stay aware of advertisements, promotions, sales, and loyalty programs.
• Store operations commitment: Maintain store and print‑department appearance to company guidelines, keep a neat, clean, well‑stocked environment, follow signage, labeling, and merchandise‑presentation standards, sort and stock freight, organize the freight‑sorting area, and scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily.
• Print and technology expertise: Continuously develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through required training, including Tech, Print, and other certifications as needed.
• Sales techniques & loss prevention: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and loss‑prevention efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; no prior experience required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use technology for job‑related information.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with clients and associates.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately for documentation, training tools, and inventory processing.
• Client‑focused, positive, engaging, and action‑oriented attitude with passion for the brand, products, services, and solutions.

Pay

Salary range: $10.00 – $13.00 per hour, adjusted as required to meet all state and local minimum‑wage laws.
