Retail Part Time Store Associate(Print ,Pack & Ship)
About the role
As a Part‑Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, you will engage customers in a friendly, knowledgeable manner to create a positive shopping experience and drive sales. You’ll recommend products, services, and solutions, support store visual and merchandising standards, handle freight and logistics activities, and uphold the Office Depot 5C values of Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, and Courageous. Entry‑level training in technology and print products/services will be provided.
Primary Responsibilities
- Customer‑Centric Experience: Proactively acknowledge and engage every customer; use the selling program to promote optimal solutions, additional products, and services; stay aware of advertisements, promotions, sales, and loyalty programs.
- Store Operations Commitment: Maintain store and print department appearance per company guidelines; keep the environment neat, clean, and well‑stocked; follow signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation standards; adhere to sorting and stocking guidelines; complete freight processes and keep the freight sorting area organized; scan, investigate, and replenish inventory lows and outs daily.
- Print and Tech Expertise: Continuously develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through required Tech, Print, and related training; pursue designated certifications as needed.
- Sales Techniques: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and loss‑prevention efforts; perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- No prior experience required.
Skills & Competencies
- Basic computer skills; ability to use technology for job‑related information.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships with clients and associates.
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately for documentation, training tools, and inventory processing.
- Client‑focused, positive, engaging, and action‑oriented attitude with passion for the brand, products, services, and solutions.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $10.00 – $13.00 per hour, with adjustments to comply with applicable state and local minimum wage laws.
