About the role

Operators are multi-unit leaders responsible for elevating the guest experience, optimizing store performance, and developing the next generation of CHAGEE leaders. This role oversees a cluster of locations within an assigned region, with scope evolving in line with business growth and operational needs. Operators work on the business, leading through Store Management, driving strategy, ensuring operational consistency, and serving as the engine behind store performance, culture, and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a cultural ambassador for CHAGEE, fostering authentic guest experiences rooted in our values across all stores
  • Drive local community engagement through events, partnerships, and store-level marketing initiatives
  • Ensure consistent service quality, hospitality standards, and brand execution across locations
  • Own P&L performance, forecasting, and multi-unit KPIs including labor, speed, revenue, and guest satisfaction
  • Analyze performance trends and translate insights into action plans that improve efficiency and results
  • Ensure audit readiness, safety compliance, and high standards of store maintenance and presentation
  • Partner with corporate teams to implement brand-wide initiatives such as equipment rollouts, menu updates, and operational pilots
  • Identify and lead store improvements, remodels, and operational upgrades
  • Hire, onboard, and develop Store Managers, building a strong leadership bench across locations
  • Provide consistent one-on-one coaching, feedback, and career development planning
  • Mentor high-potential leaders into future Operator or HQ pipeline roles
  • Address performance issues, escalations, and sensitive people matters with integrity and accountability
  • Ensure training standards, SOPs, and people practices are upheld at every level

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in multi-unit management or high-volume store leadership
  • Proven ability to manage P&L ownership and business strategy across multiple locations
  • Strong coaching mindset with demonstrated experience developing leaders and building teams
  • Excellent communication, influence, and organizational skills across diverse stakeholders
  • Comfort leading through change with resilience, optimism, and accountability
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly between store locations
  • Passion for premium tea, hospitality, and building something new from the ground up

Pay

The estimated total cash compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000, inclusive of base salary and estimated bonus. Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate and may vary depending on factors including (but not limited to): relevant knowledge and experience, skills, education, certifications, overall qualifications, and your specific work location.
