About the role
RitterTech ParkerStore, an MCE Company, is seeking a Retail Operations Specialist to oversee daily fulfillment center activities, assist customers, and mentor a team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of sales fulfillment center associates to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped on time.
- Ensure customer orders are pulled accurately from stock according to purchase orders and/or shipping tickets and seen through to shipping with common carriers.
- Sort and place products on racks, shelves, or in bins according to bin codes or other predetermined order (type, size, color, etc.) in warehouse and storefront merchandising locations.
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports to account for all sales orders and inventory.
- Operate equipment including forklifts and pallet movers as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment and follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures at all times.
- Absorb and interpret purchase orders, shipping manifests, packing lists, and shipping lists.
- Read and interpret purchase orders, shipping manifests, packing lists, and shipping lists.
- Operate equipment including forklifts and pallet movers as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment and follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures at all times.
- Assist walk-in and telephone customers with industrial and mobile hose and fitting needs — troubleshooting applications and recommending the right product solutions.
- Complete assigned Parker Learning Institute (PLI) courses and maintain Platinum level standards per the Parker Store Evaluation (PSET).
- Troubleshoot operational and customer issues and make suggestions for continuous improvement initiatives and customer solutions.
- Travel to other Parker Store locations to serve as backup support when needed.
- Mentor warehouse associates interested in retail operations and enforce Standard Operating Procedures throughout the warehouse environment.
- Set an example for accuracy, professionalism, and customer service in every interaction and every shift.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse activities and inventory control.
- Experience with multi-carrier shipping systems.
- Basic computer skills including data entry, Microsoft Office, inventory software, and payroll systems.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide leadership and mentorship to associates.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to pass an MVR driving check.
- High school diploma or GED; one to three months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
