Retail Mortgage Divisional Leader
Brief Description
Kind Lending is seeking a visionary Retail Divisional Leader (East and West Division Positions available) to lead and scale our Retail Channel. This executive leader will have full accountability for the division’s strategy, financial performance, sales growth, and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Establish and execute the long-term vision, strategy, and operating plan for the Retail Channel in alignment with Kind Lending’s overall business objectives.
- Drive scalable growth initiatives across retail production, recruiting, geographic expansion, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with the Chief Production Officer and executive leadership to influence company-wide strategy and production priorities.
- Maintain full financial and performance accountability for the Division, including revenue growth, expense management, margin optimization, and profitability outcomes.
- Develop and manage forecasts, budgets, and performance dashboards to ensure financial discipline and transparency.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and return on investment across the division.
- Lead retail sales strategy, including market penetration, branch and team expansion, and production growth initiatives.
- Oversee senior retail sales leadership and regional executives to ensure consistent execution, accountability, and performance.
- Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and consumer behavior to drive innovation and sustainable growth.
- Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing retail leadership team, including Regional, Area, and Branch Managers.
- Partner with recruiting and onboarding leadership to attract, develop, and retain top retail production talent.
- Establish clear performance expectations, leadership scorecards, accountability frameworks, and succession planning.
- Serve as an executive ambassador for Kind Lending with retail partners, referral sources, and industry stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, Compliance, Finance, Capital Markets, and Technology to ensure seamless retail execution.
- Champion process improvement and innovation that enhances the loan officer, partner, and consumer experience.
- Provide regular executive-level reporting to the Chief Production Officer on retail channel performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, operational, and corporate governance standards across all retail operations.
- Identify and proactively manage operational, financial, and reputational risk within the retail channel.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of mortgage industry experience with significant time in senior retail leadership or divisional executive roles.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale retail channels with financial, operational, and production accountability.
- Strong strategic, financial, and analytical acumen with the ability to translate vision into disciplined execution.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and influence skills across executive, peer, and frontline leadership levels.
- Proven ability to scale retail organizations in fast-growth, performance-driven environments.
- Strong alignment with Kind Lending’s mission, values, and commitment to customer and employee experience.
Pay
Compensation includes a competitive base salary starting at $140,000 plus performance-based incentives, overrides, and long-term growth opportunities. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, scope, market conditions, and business needs. Compensation ranges are subject to change.
