About the role
As a Director in Retail Media, you will lead strategic initiatives for a portfolio of clients, ensuring that retail media strategies align with business goals, category opportunities, and long-term growth. You will guide senior client relationships, oversee investment strategy, and collaborate with various teams to build connected programs that measure performance and drive growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead retail media strategy across a portfolio of clients, ensuring plans support business goals, category opportunities, and long-term growth.
- Guide senior client relationships by bringing clear recommendations, strong judgment, and a steady point of view.
- Oversee investment strategy, forecasting, pacing, and performance across major retail media platforms, including Amazon, Walmart Connect, and Instacart.
- Partner with Analytics, Creative, Retail Operations, and other media teams to build connected programs that are measurable and well executed.
- Use performance data, market signals, and platform changes to shape smarter strategies and identify new opportunities for clients.
- Lead and develop team members, supporting strong work, clear direction, and continued growth across the retail media team.
- Improve ways of working across the practice by helping build stronger processes, better planning, and more consistent quality.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in retail media, digital media, or marketplace advertising, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong experience leading retail media strategy across large or complex client businesses.
- Deep knowledge of audience strategy, campaign performance, and multi-channel marketing.
- Confidence managing senior client relationships and guiding conversations that influence decisions and build trust.
- Strong skills in forecasting, budget management, reporting, and performance analysis.
- Experience leading teams and developing others through clear feedback, coaching, and thoughtful support.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work closely with cross-functional partners to keep work connected and moving forward.
- Comfort using tools such as Velocity, Excel, and SQL to support planning, analysis, and decision-making.
