About the role

The Retail Makeup Artist is responsible for promoting and creating makeup magic in store, always representing the Charlotte Tilbury 5 P's: Professional, Proactive, Passionate, Prescriptive, and Potential. Working as part of an elite team, the Makeup Artist drives business in store through delivering Charlotte Tilbury's exceptional makeup artistry technique and service. This role reflects the brand values and customer base, achieving sales targets through an amazing customer experience with exemplary service. The Makeup Artist exudes passion and enthusiasm for Charlotte Tilbury, delivering her philosophy of artistry made easy along with a unique and personalized shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Strive to achieve and exceed personal sales goals including Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) such as Average Unit Sales (AUS) and Items Per Transaction (IPT).
  • Work collaboratively to achieve and exceed team and counter goals.
  • Create brand awareness through sharing and demonstrating product knowledge.
  • Introduce new product launches and seat customers for makeup services.
  • Demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit within Company guidelines.
  • Consistently promote the Tilbury Touch to customers.
  • Lead by example to promote exceptional customer service and the Tilbury Touch.
  • Handle customer queries using sound judgment to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Work quickly and accurately in time-pressured conditions.
  • Extend exceptional customer service beyond the in-store experience, including makeup applications, Charlottetilbury.com, and using the store's clientele database to build relationships and retain customers.
  • Assist in the execution of events, meeting both booking and sales goals.
  • Demonstrate a positive and cooperative approach towards work and colleagues.
  • Contribute to individual and team development plans through constructive feedback.
  • Maintain high standards of timekeeping to ensure team efficiency.
  • Assist in maintaining an atmosphere of open and positive communication, professionalism, and creativity.
  • Recognize and celebrate great performance.
  • Ensure the store is 'customer ready' from open to close of business.
  • Maintain excellent hygiene standards, including cleaning display units, tools, and testers throughout the day.
  • Assist with maintaining required inventory levels, including stock counts, rotation, and timely replenishment.
  • Adhere to Company cash loss prevention procedures and security policies.
  • Implement visual merchandising, new launch displays, and collateral placement as directed by the management team.
  • Complete administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Raise operational issues for resolution in a timely manner.
  • Establish and develop cooperative and mutually respectful relationships with store retail colleagues.
  • Maintain store standards and policies at all times.
  • Proactively suggest win-win opportunities to drive sales within store colleagues.

Requirements

  • A strong artistry portfolio.
  • Examples of leading events and masterclasses.
  • Proven track record of strong sales performance.
  • Experience of managing, developing, and coaching.
  • Additional language proficiency is a plus.
