Retail Key Holder, San Leandro, #497

BevMo! by Gopuff is seeking a motivated individual to support our Retail Operations team by opening and closing the store, driving sales, and delivering excellent customer service in the absence of management.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and establishing rapport with customers while informing them of products and services
• Open and close the store, including early arrivals and late departures
• Assist during high-volume periods and support new employees
• Recommend in-house products to customers based on knowledge of inventory
• Manage inventory tasks: restocking merchandise, conducting counts, and identifying discrepancies
• Process cash transactions accurately: opening/closing tills, counting cash, and preparing deposits
• Operate scanners, cash registers, and other electronics
• Follow age verification policies and ensure price/quantity accuracy
• Process refunds and exchanges, and provide customer receipts
• Monitor sales floor to prevent theft, conduct bag checks, and enforce security procedures
• Maintain store cleanliness standards on the sales floor, stock room, lockers, and bathrooms
• Train new employees on store procedures, product knowledge, and customer service standards

Requirements

• 1+ years leadership experience in retail, grocery, military, restaurant, or equivalent
• Flexible schedule with availability during peak hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Basic math skills and proficiency in cash handling
• Team-oriented mentality
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Pay

USD $17.65/hr (San Leandro, CA). Compensation varies by location based on market pricing and cost of labor index. Starting pay determined by job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
