Retail Key Carrier
Job Description
The Key Carrier role is an elevated extension of the Coordinator role. Key Carriers alternate their role based on store needs, predominantly performing the role of Coordinator and occasionally acting as Key Carrier, taking on a leadership role in maintaining all aspects of the store.
Key Carriers must have open availability, including nights and weekends. They role model exceptional customer service, creating a positive internal and external customer experience. They promote a culture of honesty and integrity, maintaining confidentiality. They act as Manager on Duty, adhering to company policy and procedure. They ensure store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with the store plan, prioritizing as needed. They address immediate customer service issues and provide appropriate coaching to Associates. They exercise discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers. They maintain accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience. They ensure Associates adhere to all operational procedures. They ensure opening/closing procedures are executed according to company guidelines. They communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, providing progress updates. They provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback. They provide feedback, recognition, and coaching to Associates. They partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness. They ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures. They promote credit and loyalty programs. They support and participate in shrink reduction goals and programs. They promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment. Other duties as assigned.
Who We're Looking For
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors
- Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
- Knowledge of company standard software, systems, and procedures
- Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores
- Proven problem solving skills
- Able to effectively coach, delegate, and follow-up on multiple people/tasks
- Able to act quickly under challenging circumstances
- Capable of multi-tasking
- Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
- 1 year retail, 6 months leadership experience
