About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Retail Inventory Coordinator who is passionate about personal care products to join our team. This role ensures the day-to-day operations of retail and inventory within the salon and spa meet high client service standards and achieve overall retail and service sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day retail and inventory operations to maintain client service standards and sales goals.
- Maintain the integrity of the automatic replenishment system, including placing orders, stock control, and merchandising.
- Complete salon-to-salon transfers and required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Communicate weekly out-of-stock items with in-salon, spa, and warehouse departments.
- Coordinate and lead bi-annual physical inventory.
- Track and audit inventory discrepancies using the company’s inventory system.
- Ensure stock areas are clean, organized, and easy to navigate.
- Place weekly supply orders and monitor quantities within Open to Buy Budget Guidelines and days of supply targets.
- Lead monthly Stock Control Book counts, audits, and return audits for accuracy.
- Distribute and verify the accuracy of received orders.
- Communicate new policies and procedures to the teams.
- Write supplemental orders to replenish stock as needed.
- Rotate and maintain products on shelving units for cleanliness and presentation.
- Maintain storefront displays that promote the company (if applicable).
- Ensure optimal levels of holiday collateral.
- Perform daily stock movement for all departments.
- Complete station audits for hair, nail, and spa departments at least twice weekly.
- Attend monthly Retail Coordinator meetings to stay updated on policies and procedures.
- Perform weekly active assortment audits for hair and nail departments and assist the GM with supplemental orders.
Requirements
- Experience with hospitality, retail, or customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Beauty, spa, or salon experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency with Excel and Word.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines with urgency.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to twenty-five pounds.
