Retail Golf Equipment Sales Lead - Key Holder

About the Role

The Key Carrying Lead plays a critical role in executing brand standards and enhancing the teammate experience. This position supports the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager by serving as the in-store expert for their business or department, delivering exceptional customer service, and providing direction to teammates.

Responsibilities

• Support building and hiring a strong team by observing in-store interviews and department tours.
• Foster a people-first culture by connecting with teammates to build trust, respect, and contribute to store recognition.
• Plan and organize daily operations 30 days in advance, including workforce alignment for assignments, game plans, projects, or store events.
• Leverage teammates strategically to meet brand standards, execute programs and processes, and delegate tasks based on priority.
• Assist store leadership with general supervision, including opening/closing the store, Front End and Cash Office functions, and processing firearms sales in compliance with regulations (where applicable).
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards, including floor sets, signage, price changes, and inventory replenishment.
• Assist with training teammates on company procedures, including onboarding new teammates and cross-training current staff.
• Maintain company loss prevention standards and controls in your department.
• Prioritize coaching and development for yourself and others, providing hands-on guidance and explaining the "why" behind tasks and processes.
• Lead by example to support the store’s vision, helping teammates understand how their roles align with organizational goals and customer experience.
• Create an inclusive environment where teammates and customers feel welcome, safe, and respected.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of all company information.
• Support the team across the store with an all-hands-on-deck approach.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior retail sales or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift items up to 35 lbs. repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
• Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using ladders, aerial lifting devices, or platforms.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours continuously).
