Retail Golf Equipment Sales Lead - Key Holder

About the role

The Key Carrying Lead plays a critical role in executing brand standards and enhancing the teammate experience. This position supports the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager by serving as the in-store expert for their business or department, delivering exceptional customer service, and providing direction to teammates.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to create a people-first culture, building trust and respect with every teammate in the store.
• Plan, organize, and control store operations 30 days in advance, including workforce alignment for daily assignments, game plans, projects, or events.
• Strategically delegate tasks to teammates to ensure brand standards, programs, and processes are executed daily.
• Assist store leadership with general supervision, including opening/closing the store, Front End and Cash Office functions, and processing firearms sales in compliance with State and Federal regulations (where applicable).
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards, including floor sets, signage, price changes, and inventory replenishment.
• Train teammates on company procedures and programs, including onboarding new hires and cross-training current teammates.
• Maintain company loss prevention standards and controls in your department.
• Prioritize coaching and development for yourself and others, explaining the "why" behind tasks, plans, and processes (e.g., Protection Plans, Scorecards, Loss Prevention).
• Support the store’s vision by helping teammates understand how their responsibilities align with organizational goals and customer experience.
• Foster an inclusive environment where teammates and customers feel welcome, safe, and respected.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of all Company information.
• Support the team across the store as needed, including performing other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior retail sales or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift items up to 35 lbs. repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
• Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours continuously).

Pay

Targeted pay range: $15.50 - $23.50 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on location, experience, and position offered. The hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location.
