About the role

The role of a General Manager at Minnesota Cannabis Services involves overseeing all aspects of store performance, from daily operations to financial reporting, and driving growth through data-driven decision-making. This position requires a strong leader with experience in multi-functional retail management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of managers and associates to exceed operational and financial goals.
  • Oversee scheduling, cash and inventory management, visual merchandising, and compliance.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and coach Assistant GMs, preparing them for future leadership roles.
  • Collaborate with corporate and cross-functional teams to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure safety, consistency, and excellence in every facet of operations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in multi-functional retail management with direct supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with scheduling, inventory systems, and financial reporting.
  • A high level of integrity, personal motivation, adaptability, and sense of urgency.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive information.
  • Previous retail, sales and/or customer service experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • This position requires the ability to perform essential job functions such as standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly (up to 200 pounds with assistance).
  • Must commit to coming to work sober. Successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.

Pay and Benefits

Pay range between $70,000-$85,000. Bonus incentives programs. Employee discount includes 50% off smokable cannabis products. Health, Dental and Vision insurance. Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
