Responsibilities
- Effectively onboarding, developing, scheduling, coaching, performance management, and education of retail staff
- Ensuring the best customer experience by focusing on the team
- Maintaining the highest sales metrics in the store and meeting sales goals
- Coaching all store team members on individual sales metrics, helping them achieve business goals
- Fostering growth of others through recognition, coaching, and development opportunities
- Having hard conversations (performance, disciplinary, etc.)
- Managing administrative tasks, customer interactions, and a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership ability with at least 2-3 years of retail experience in a customer-facing sales setting
- Proven track record of leading by example; provide feedback and coach in the moment
- Experience in having hard conversations (performance, disciplinary, etc.)
- Ability to manage administrative tasks, customer interactions, and a fast-paced environment
- Ability to move around for periods of 2-4 hours without a rest break, perform moderate to heavy lifting and carrying, and bend and reach overhead
- Ability to communicate with customers, work in a retail environment with product displays and stockroom with inventory, and potentially work on slippery surfaces
