Retail (eCommerce) Senior Consultant

About the role

Clarkston Consulting is seeking motivated, self-driven leaders who are energized by team results and interested in joining a firm that values its culture and people as its biggest strengths. In this role, you will deliver creative business solutions to market-leading clients in the life sciences, consumer products, and retail industries. When not at a client site, consultants work from their home office. Relocation is not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and operational initiatives across retail, eCommerce, omnichannel, and store operations
• Partner with client executives to define priorities, establish governance, and translate business objectives into executable plans
• Lead eCommerce implementations, digital transformation, and enterprise retail improvement initiatives
• Manage cross-functional teams across business, technology, store operations, Clarkston, and third-party partners
• Drive execution by managing scope, timelines, risks, budgets, dependencies, and stakeholder alignment
• Support business development through client relationships, solution design, presentations, and proposals

Beyond your day-to-day responsibilities, you will receive support and mentorship from Clarkston colleagues and leaders, and expand your skillset with internal and external professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Experience leading complex business or technology transformation programs within retail, consumer products, or related industries
• Experience delivering at least one enterprise eCommerce platform implementation, replatforming, or migration project
• Experience managing third-party implementation partners or systems integrators
• Strong project and program management capabilities, including governance, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and executive communication
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with client executives and cross-functional business leaders
• Excellent analytical, facilitation, and communication skills, including strong written and verbal communication
• Flexibility and adaptability to lead strategic planning while supporting day-to-day program execution
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with leading commerce platforms such as Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), Adobe Commerce (Magento), SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), BigCommerce, or similar platforms
• Consulting experience serving retail or consumer products clients

Travel Requirement

Travel is an integral part of this role and is estimated to average 30-50%. This may vary based upon client and project needs.
