Retail E-Commerce Specialist
About the role
The Retail E-Commerce & Retail Media Specialist supports the execution of Trex's digital commerce strategy across key retail partners, including Lowe's and The Home Depot. This role is responsible for optimizing the digital shelf, managing product content, and executing retail media programs to improve product visibility, conversion, and online sales performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and foster our “people first” culture.
- Digital Shelf & Content Optimization
- Manage and optimize Trex product listings across retailer websites, including Lowe’s and The Home Depot.
- Maintain and enhance product detail pages (PDPs) through improved content, imagery, SEO, and digital assets.
- Partner with retailer merchant teams and Brand Advocates to improve product visibility, compliance, and conversion.
- Develop content that educates customers and improves confidence in online purchasing.
- Retail Media Execution & Coordination
- Serve as a day-to-day contact for retail media coordination with retailer teams and agency partners.
- Aid in campaign setup, monitoring, and optimization (sponsored search, display, and onsite placements).
- Track and report on campaign performance metrics including traffic, conversion, and return on ad spend (ROAS).
- Support testing of new media opportunities and capabilities.
- Product Data & Catalog Management
- Support end-to-end product setup by gathering, validating, and inputting SKU-level data.
- Maintain product content including descriptions, attributes, imagery, and marketing assets.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across retailer systems and digital platforms.
- Maintain digital product catalogs for retailer partners.
- Ratings, Reviews & Content Syndication
- Partner with Bazaarvoice to support ratings and reviews collection and syndication.
- Monitor review coverage and assist in improving content completeness across products.
- Help ensure accurate representation of customer feedback across platforms.
- Performance Reporting & Analysis
- Track digital performance metrics including traffic, conversion, content health, and media performance.
- Support weekly and monthly reporting to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
- Provide data-driven insights to improve digital shelf effectiveness and campaign performance.
- Cross-Functional & Retailer Collaboration
- Maintain strong working relationships with retailer teams, Brand Advocates, and media contacts.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Sales, and Digital to ensure consistent messaging and execution.
- Communicate promotions, product updates, and priorities to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 2–5+ years of hands-on experience in digital commerce, e-commerce or digital marketing.
- Experience working with retailer platforms (e.g., Lowe’s, The Home Depot, or similar).
- Familiarity with retail media programs (sponsored search, display advertising, onsite media).
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting performance data and metrics.
- Experience managing product content, digital assets, or product data in DAM (Adobe) or PIM Systems (Salsify).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to drive execution and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across sales, marketing, retail partners, and internal teams.
- Analytical, innovative, and forward-thinking mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting Mass Retail or Home Improvement retailers in sales, marketing, e-commerce, or business development roles.
- Understanding of SEO, taxonomy and digital shelf best practices.

Pay
Base Salary Range: $70,000 to $90,000 annually. The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary. At Trex, individual base salaries are determined based on various factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
