Retail & E-commerce Expert (United States)

About the role

This is a remote contract position open to experts located anywhere in the United States. You will provide clear, accurate commentary on consumer demand, merchandising, pricing, stores, marketplaces, fulfillment, customer acquisition, and retail operations. The expected commitment is approximately four hours per month.

You will review Authority.inc research, datasets, and forecasts to identify errors, weak assumptions, and missing context. Your commentary will be used to fine-tune the most accurate forecasting models in the world, designed to predict events, decisions, and outcomes across retail and e-commerce markets globally.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, accurate commentary on consumer demand, merchandising, pricing, stores, marketplaces, fulfillment, customer acquisition, and retail operations.
• Review Authority.inc research, datasets, and forecasts to identify errors, weak assumptions, and missing context.
• Contribute to fine-tuning forecasting models used to predict events, decisions, and outcomes in retail and e-commerce markets globally.

Requirements

• At least five years of professional experience in retail and e-commerce.
• Deep knowledge of at least one relevant vertical, function, or specialist discipline.
• Firsthand experience with the sector’s decisions, operations, risks, and market dynamics.
• Ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely in written and verbal form.
• A detail-oriented approach and commitment to accuracy and consistency.

Schedule

Approximately four hours per month.
