Overview
2020 Companies is seeking reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Retail Installation & Merchandising Specialists to join our team and represent leading brands like Dell, Intel, Dyson, Google, and HP. In this role, you’ll work independently, meet deadlines, and use mobile applications and technology to review, schedule, and complete assignments at different retail venues within 90 miles. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, as you manage your schedule to complete work within established timelines, build store-level relationships, and ensure top-quality execution on every project.
Pay
- $17 per hour
- Next-day pay on demand with DailyPay
- Paid drive time and mileage reimbursement
Schedule
- Monday–Friday work schedule - no weekends required
- Flexible schedule with assignments scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
- Hours are based on available assignments and are not guaranteed
- Opportunities include flexible self-scheduling options as well as scheduled shifts based on client and project needs
- Most major holidays off
- Maintain work-life flexibility by providing a minimum of 20 hours of availability for field assignments within a rolling 30-day period
- Weekend and holiday availability as needed
- Early morning and late-night availability as needed
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and update retail fixtures, shelving, endcaps, and displays
- Complete retail resets, store build-outs, remodels, and display repairs
- Follow planograms (POGs), schematics, and client-specific merchandising directives with accuracy
- Install and service TVs, interactive displays, kiosks, and other retail display equipment
- Update operating systems and software on display devices
- Install and replace graphics, pricing cards, SD cards, and other marketing materials
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and display issues to ensure equipment is functioning properly
- Capture and upload photos to document completed work using a mobile device
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while representing the client professionally
- Respond and remain responsible for consistent communication with field services management quickly (within 24 hours of contact)
- Keep availability updated and accurate
- Fully complete all assigned jobs on or before scheduled end dates
- Complete necessary forms/images/surveys associated with each job/assignment before leaving the job site
- Conduct break-fix repairs to ensure displays and fixtures are fully functional
- Participate in early morning installations and installations involving a team of 2+ people and provide solution feedback
- Manage virtual software and ensure successful execution of related tasks and timelines
- Contribute to the team's success by assisting other members as needed
- Adhere to timelines associated with accurate timecard submission, reporting anomalies daily with needed corrections
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Participate and complete training and certification programs
- Accurately track, record, and communicate activity via designated systems/workflows
- Accept and schedule all assigned jobs within 48 hours of receipt
- Follow all directives as provided, executing fully and completely
- Work closely within the shared services team to ensure goals, identify opportunities for improvement, communicate and drive solutions while ensuring operational efficiencies
- Build and maintain strong relationships within the shared services team: local/regional markets, clients, retailers, and other stakeholders
- Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, retailers, and field representatives, fostering collaboration and communication
- Demonstrate professionalism, effective communication skills, and strong leadership abilities while representing the company
- Set a high standard for behavior, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring transparent, respectful communication with all team members
- Work across all aspects of the company and through cross-functional processes to ensure alignment and operational success
- Ensure customer and client satisfaction is met / continually improved upon according to established shared service field KPIs as determined by field management
- Be open to provide and receive feedback
Requirements
- Must be 18 or older (due to insurance requirements)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- High school diploma or equivalent is typically required
- Comfortable using hand tools and technology
- Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle
- Willingness to travel up to 90 miles from your residence in any direction to complete service assignments
- Ability and willingness to climb ladders up to 10 feet
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 60 lbs
- Ability to kneel, walk, crouch, bend, reach overhead, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the day
- Must provide and use the following tools: Phillips head & flat head screwdriver, hex keys, box cutter, tape measure, microfiber cloth, 256G USB (USB-A / C adapter)
- Smartphone with a current operating system and active data plan
- Must be comfortable downloading mobile apps, following digital work instructions, and uploading photos to document completed assignments
- Must be able to successfully navigate various communication platforms and applications independently
- Must complete all training assignments and tasks within a designated time frame
- Effective communication abilities, primarily via phone, text, and email, to coordinate tasks and provide updates
- Capable of working autonomously with excellent time management and reporting skills
- Agents are expected to be able to work collaboratively and autonomously
Qualifications
- Previous retail or merchandising experience is beneficial but not mandatory
- Installation and merchandising experience preferred
- Proficiency with hand and power tool usage preferred
- Ability to follow planogram (POG) directives and secondary communication preferred
- Superior leadership skills and strong professional communication and presentation skills
- Ability to make sound decisions, show good judgment and problem-solve effectively
