About the role

The Retail Digital Marketing Manager leads digital marketing, digital commerce, consumer engagement, and the digital ecosystem for Ben & Jerry’s U.S. and Global Scoop Shops. This role drives growth across a national franchise network through media investment, digital property management, local marketing support, technology partnerships, and data-driven decision making. Serving as the primary digital advocate for Scoop Shops, this role connects franchisee and global needs, brand priorities, technology capabilities, and business results into one cohesive strategy. The role partners across Marketing, Digital Commerce, Technology, Finance, Analytics, Operations, Franchise teams, agencies, and external vendors to deliver practical digital experiences that support shop growth and strengthen consumer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the digital marketing strategy for U.S. & Global Scoop Shops in partnership with Scoop Shop marketing team.
  • Lead annual and quarterly planning, media briefs, campaign calendars, and digital activation plans.
  • Represent Scoop Shop needs in national and global campaign planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with Global Markets to share strategy, tactics, and learnings — and gather input from their own efforts.
  • Lead the cross-functional evaluation, sourcing, and build-out of a next-generation loyalty program that deepens consumer engagement across Scoop Shops and, potentially, in-home consumption — partnering with Brand, Operations, Technology, Data, Consumer Insights, and Global teams to design a unified, scalable customer experience.
  • Shape and help execute the Scoop Shop customer data strategy in partnership with Data and Marketing Technology teams — including integration of Salesforce, future POS data, catering data, and Olo order data into a unified consumer view.
  • Partner with Marketing Technology and Data teams to bring a digital and business lens to system optimizations, capability enhancements, and partner roadmap opportunities — identifying and prioritizing initiatives that improve consumer experience, franchisee support, and marketing performance.
  • Manage paid media investments across Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, Apple Maps, and emerging platforms via our media agency.
  • Oversee in-app media investment with third-party delivery partners.
  • Support growth across in-shop visits, cakes, catering, online ordering, delivery, and other digital commerce priorities.
  • Maintain and optimize digital properties, including websites, local listings, digital destinations, and platform experiences.
  • Partner with digital and technology teams on platform enhancements, troubleshooting, rollouts, and future capability planning.
  • Evaluate new tools and technologies that improve customer experience, franchisee support, or marketing effectiveness and reach.
  • Serve as the primary digital marketing resource for franchisees, retail partners, and global markets.
  • Act as the primary digital marketing point of contact for the Scoop Shop POS transition, translating technical change into clear guidance and enablement for franchisees while ensuring marketing, commerce, and data capabilities are ready on day one.
  • Support new shop openings, transfers, listings management, local digital needs, platform troubleshooting, and best-practice guidance.
  • Deliver digital enablement training and share scalable digital tools, learnings, and resources with U.S. and global partners.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance on local strategy, digital marketing questions, and issue resolution.
  • Connect marketing activities to sales, traffic, consumer behavior, and business results.
  • Develop reporting, dashboards, performance recaps, and actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Use data to guide investment decisions, optimize campaigns, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Lead complex digital projects from planning through execution, including signature brand moments such as Free Cone Day, major product launches, and new technology rollouts.
  • Represent Scoop Shops in cross-functional governance forums, product launch meetings, and operational review cadences.
  • Work across Marketing, Digital Commerce, Technology, Finance, Analytics, Operations, Franchise teams, agencies, and external vendors to achieve objectives.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, stakeholders, dependencies, and communication to drive successful outcomes.
