Retail Department Manager - Nike Fairfax

Location: Nike Factory Store Fairfax, Fairfax, VA – Full Time (34-40 hours per week, including nights and weekends)

As a Nike Department Manager (referred to as a Coach), you’re the face of NIKE. You’ll guide customers in making the best decisions for them in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Your diverse experience and perspective will help drive customer service and represent our global culture of sport, the NIKE brand, and your community. You’ll lead, coach, and inspire your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences while fostering inclusion and support.

You’ll use your retail expertise to drive store growth strategies, build community partnerships, and ensure your team feels empowered and motivated. Your leadership will bring NIKE to life for customers, colleagues, and communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to ensure seamless store operations, including staffing, training, and day-to-day management.
• Attract, assess, and onboard future teammates to maintain optimal store staffing.
• Equip employees with the tools they need to succeed in their roles.
• Drive store performance and critical metrics, including budgeting, planning, customer service, sales, and people leadership.
• Manage the product life cycle from stockroom to visual merchandising and the sales floor.

Requirements

• Three years of customer-facing retail or hospitality experience.
• One year of leadership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, build, and lead high-performing teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail business systems.
• Ability to bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder, and stand for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Proven ability to utilize tools for conflict resolution, employee coaching, and counseling.
• Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
