Responsibilities
- Engage and interact with customers to maintain a clean, organized store and ensure an excellent customer experience.
- Role model exceptional customer service and promote a culture of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Orchestrate truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor.
- Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
- Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
- Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
- Ensure Associates complete tasks according to store plan and prioritize as needed.
- Monitor team productivity and provide coaching as necessary.
- Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
- Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area.
- Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs where applicable.
- Communicate accurately with management and Associates on priorities and provide progress updates.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
- Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Capable of multi-tasking and responding appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Able to train others.
- 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.

Pay
This position has a starting pay range of $15.50 to $16.00 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
