Retail Customer Service Associate
About the role
The Store Consultant plays a crucial role in delivering a positive customer experience by utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of all aspects of the Store's operations, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping.
Responsibilities
- Fulfills complex customer orders using order systems and provides accurate pricing information
- Takes orders, coordinates activities in the Store, and provides product information
- Operates and maintains a wide variety of equipment, moves boxes and equipment, stocks materials, manages the production queue and output, and manages complex projects
- Manages retail supply and completes assigned tasks based on priority
- Ensures all customer problems are resolved quickly and to the satisfaction of the customer
- Communicates effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
- Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly retail Store
- Processes financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS), including handling cash and making change
- Cleans, repairs, and stocks all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies to provide optimal performance and availability
- Supports FedEx Office quality initiatives and applies Quality concepts presented at training during daily activities
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 6+ months of specialized experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
- Move and lift 55 pounds
- Bend/twist at the waist and knees
- Work with minimal supervision
- Report regularly to work and maintain established business hours
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 6+ months of specialized experience

Ability to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours in order to support the FedEx Office business; regular attendance and/or reporting could include regular attendance at a physical location and/or maintaining established business hours depending on the scope and nature of the position.
