Retail Credit Specialist

About the role

Be a part of our exciting growth by expressing an interest in our Retail Credit Specialist position located in Salt Lake City, UT. As a Retail Credit Specialist, you will underwrite $400 million in credit submissions annually and underwrite fleet credit line relationship up to $750K. You will be responsible for managing risk while maximizing portfolio growth by analyzing and interpreting consumer and business credit data while remaining compliant with federal, state and BMW Group Financial Services' regulatory requirements, practices, policies, and procedures (including but not limited to fair lending, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Truth in Lending Act, Anti-Money laundering and Financial Sanctions, and Anti-Fraud management).

Responsibilities

• Underwrite consumer and business credit applications, managing approximately 400 million in credit submissions annually and fleet credit lines up to 750K.
• Analyze credit data and documentation to make informed decisions while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements including fair lending and anti-fraud practices.
• Negotiate credit terms with dealers within established guidelines to maintain credit quality and profitability.
• Maintain strong dealer relationships through timely and professional communication via calls, emails, and in-person events.
• Aid in system testing and process improvements to increase efficiency and support revenue goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or consistent work towards attainment or equivalent experience and/or certification
• 2+ years of Finance experience or related education
• Preferred area of Study: Business degree with concentration in Finance
• 1-2 Years Credit Analysis experience
• 1-2 Years Collections experience
• 1-2 Years Dealer Facing experience

• Hybrid role requiring regular attendance in the office. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
• The position is located in Salt Lake City, UT.
• The pay range for this role is $50,300.00 - $83,000.00. The selected candidate’s education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer.
