About the role
As a Fine Jewelry Sales Colleague, you provide outstanding customer service in our Fine Jewelry and Watch Complex, creating shopping experiences that make every customer feel welcomed, comfortable, and valued. You bring elegance, expertise, and personalized service to every interaction, helping customers find the perfect piece to celebrate life’s special moments. With a passion for fine craftsmanship and a deep understanding of precious metals, gemstones, and luxury brands, you demonstrate superior product knowledge to educate and assist customers in selecting items that suit their tastes, preferences, and budgets.
You focus on building lasting client relationships through consultative selling, genuine hospitality, and active use of our clientele program. In addition to meeting sales goals, key responsibilities include promoting our loyalty and warranty programs, supporting inventory and fulfillment activities, and assisting with special events. You also ensure the security, accuracy, and impeccable presentation of merchandise while working closely with your team to achieve sales goals and uphold operational excellence in the Fine Jewelry department.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming and supportive shopping experience
- Offer product recommendations, assist with fittings, and utilize digital shopping tools
- Drive sales and operational excellence through product knowledge, vendor training, and effective use of point-of-sale tools
- Ensure accurate stock presentation, replenishment, and asset protection compliance
- Maintain an organized and shoppable sales floor, including proper processing, presentation, and organization of merchandise
- Update signs, pricing, and support merchandise moves as needed
- Leverage clienteling tools to promote offers, product launches, and participate in sales events
- Stay up to date through ongoing training and vendor education
- Achieve sales goals, client acquisition, and protection plan goals
- Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits
- Surpass daily sales goals through exceptional service
- Use point-of-sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions and enhance the customer experience
- Support special events and uphold operational excellence in the Fine Jewelry department
Requirements
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
- 1-2 years of related experience
Essential Physical Requirements
- Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands
- Standing for at least two consecutive hours
- Lifting at least 25 lbs.
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
- Reaching, including above eye level
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers
Schedule
- Full-time colleagues typically work 30 or more hours per week
- Part-time colleagues typically work 12-24 hours per week
- All schedules include weekend shifts as a requirement
- Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability
