Retail Co-Manager

About the Role

As the Duluth Trading Company Co-Manager, you will lead your store team in delivering the Duluth Brand experience daily. You will focus on achieving KPIs through proper hiring, staff development, merchandise presentation, operational excellence, inventory controls, and asset protection.

Responsibilities

• Sales and Goals Achievement: Demonstrate leadership in driving sales and profitability by achieving or exceeding all established store budgeted financial goals. Lead KPI initiatives through Associate training and development. Maintain merchandise presentation according to Visual Merchandising standards, current floor-sets, and product messaging, including all sales promotions.
• Customer Service: Personally demonstrate a high level of customer service and engagement while setting the tone and expectations for the team. Develop comprehensive product knowledge to provide solution-oriented, friendly service to customers. Direct the team to uphold the same standards. Partner with the Senior Store Manager to develop optimum staffing levels and floor coverage, ensuring customer profile information is accurately recorded. Maintain company standards for cleanliness across the sales floor, stockroom, restrooms, cash wrap, and hospitality area.
• Human Resources/Leadership Skills: Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and lead employees. Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and company values in all interactions. Exhibit sound decision-making skills and perform with minimal supervision; focus on solution-based outcomes. Provide clear and consistent feedback to employees regularly and coach for performance. Assist the Senior Store Manager in ensuring all Human Resource protocols and documentation are completed efficiently. Maintain store and employee files according to standards. Assist in the goal-setting process for the Store leadership team. Adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and programs, setting a positive example. Be receptive and responsive to feedback, and identify problems and opportunities to discuss with the Senior Store Manager.
• Store Operations: Understand inventory and expense control. Lead the team in handling merchandise receipts and transfers quickly and accurately. Oversee visual merchandising of the sales floor. Understand, execute, and train all cash handling and reporting functions. Ensure proper processing of all register functions. Secure the store and respond to alarms as directed. Ensure the safety of employees and customers. Communicate concerns to the Senior Store Manager, Talent Success Team, and Asset Protection.

Requirements

• 3+ years of retail experience
• 1+ years of retail leadership experience
• Able to adapt in a growing and changing environment

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Physical Demands

• Must be able to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day
• Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting – below waist and above shoulders
• Frequently required to use repetitive hand-to-finger motions and reach with hands and arms
• Frequently lifting up to twenty pounds, occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds
• Push/pull up to 20 lbs
• Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend
• Work in temperatures ranging from 50 - 80 degrees, especially in stock room areas
• Able to use common tools such as hammer, screwdriver, and wrench for floor sets
• Use of a computer up to 60% of the time throughout the day

Pay

Annual Base Salary Range: $63,280 - $75,000/Year. This position is eligible to participate in the company bonus program. Compensation listed is for the full-time position at this specific location and is based on several factors, including experience and qualifications.
