About the role

MERS Goodwill is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Organizer. The ideal candidate will have experience in community development, organizing, and social justice initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to engage and mobilize community members around local issues.
• Facilitate meetings and workshops to educate and empower community members on various topics.
• Collaborate with local organizations and stakeholders to build coalitions and partnerships.
• Assist in organizing events and campaigns that promote social change and community improvement.
• Document and report on community engagement activities and outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in community organizing or related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• Experience working with diverse communities.
• Knowledge of local government processes and policies.
• Understanding of social justice issues and advocacy.

Pay
