About the role
The Retail Branch Manager I position at Woodforest National Bank is responsible for driving sales, fostering customer relationships, and managing a team within the bank's retail network. As a key member of the team, you'll play a crucial role in expanding the bank's customer base and enhancing its reputation in the community.
Responsibilities
- Achieve branch sales and revenue goals by identifying, marketing, and recommending banking products and services.
- Create a positive and energetic atmosphere to support retail objectives and initiatives.
- Recruit, train, retain, and motivate staff to achieve profitability, sales, customer experience, compliance, and growth objectives.
- Grow business deposits and loans through both inside and outside business calling.
- Enhance customer experience and the bank's reputation by greeting, engaging, and developing relationships with retail partners and customers.
- Lead and execute a community engagement strategy with a Community Development Relationship Manager.
- Inspire and lead team members to reach their full potential.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience
- 5 years of relevant and transferrable sales and/or customer service experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant and transferrable experience.
- 1 year of experience leading and directing the activities of a sales team.
- Previous instore banking experience is preferred but not required.
- Positive and engaging personality.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Full-time work status.
- Supervisory responsibility for personnel and employment decisions at assigned branch/location.
- Up to 50% travel outside of branch or as needed by customer.
- Conditions include standing most of the time, walking, moving, bending, stooping, or sitting for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 30 lbs.
