Retail Banker Seasonal Associate

About the role

As a Retail Seasonal Associate at Valley Bank, you will work in the branch assisting clients with a variety of routine banking transactions. You will exemplify Valley's quality service standards while complying with operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform all transactions required by customers, using appropriate technology to provide services effectively and efficiently.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, holiday club payments, and savings.
• Sell money orders and cashier’s checks.
• Process and balance individual cash box and complete office work as assigned, including filing signature cards and end-of-day proof.
• Maintain and balance a cash box.
• Utilize technology such as Teller Scanning Equipment, Cash Recycling and Cash Dispensing machines, and assist customers in using Coin Machines.
• Meet customer expectations, achieve service quality standards, and fulfill mystery shop expectations.
• Maintain knowledge of and comply with the Bank’s Code of Conduct and all policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or currently attending high school or college.
• Prior cash handling and/or customer service experience preferred.
