Retail Attendant PRN

About the Role

The Retail Attendant prepares and serves coffee, food, and bakery products to guests with exceptional customer service and full knowledge of food and specialty coffee production processes. This role involves multitasking with attention to detail, including coffee and food recipe production, bakery selection, cash handling, hygiene, and sanitation. The Retail Attendant also assists with department tasks such as training new employees and ongoing education initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, food, and bakery products to guests.
• Demonstrate expertise in coffee and food recipe production.
• Handle cash transactions with speed and accuracy.
• Maintain personal hygiene and work area sanitation.
• Assist with department tasks, including new employee training and education initiatives.
• Exceed customer expectations through attentive service.

Requirements

• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and other shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Two years of experience in a high-volume, direct customer interaction setting.
• Preferred: Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions.
• Preferred: Verbal ability to read and understand written instructions, recipes, and labels.
• Preferred: Basic working knowledge of cash handling and cash register operations.
• Preferred: Ability to communicate professionally with the public, staff, and peers.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate.
