About the role

The Retail Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. They greet customers, assist with merchandise, answer questions, and maintain a clean and organized store.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment
• Treat all customers and associates with respect and courtesy
• Assist customers with merchandise and answer questions politely and knowledgeably
• Perform cleaning tasks to keep the store clean and organized
• Manage inventory and follow loss prevention protocols
• Follow all policies and procedures regarding cash, checks, cards, and refunds
• Communicate effectively with customers, associates, and leadership

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates
• Basic math skills for retail environments
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds
• Knowledge of loss prevention and merchandise protection standards

Qualifications and special skills

• Effectively communicate with customers, associates, and leadership
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to use all store equipment and supplies
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds for stockroom shifts
