Retail Associate - New Store Opening

About the role

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is opening its first store in Alexandria, MN, and is hiring 50+ associates to help prepare for and manage the opening. This is an opportunity to join a growing retailer with 675+ stores across 36 states.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks, move merchandise, and stock shelves.
• Set up displays, signage, fixtures, and product areas.
• Keep the sales floor, stockroom, and work areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Aid customers and run register as needed once the store opens.
• Help straighten, recover, and maintain the store throughout the day.
• Communicate customer needs or store issues to store leadership.
• Pitch in where needed to support the team.

Requirements

• A positive attitude.
• Someone who shows up and works well with others.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stay active during the shift.
• Good communication with customers and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is helpful, but not required.

Pay

New Hire Starting Pay: $15.50 - $16.50. Actual associate pay will be based on work location, position, experience, skill level, qualifications, and other relevant factors.

This position is aligned to the store opening phase, with opportunities to be considered for ongoing store roles based on business needs and individual performance.
