Retail Associate - Full Time

About the Role

As a Retail Associate, you will ensure our customers have a positive shopping experience by providing courteous and friendly service, maintaining merchandise presentation, and upholding company standards. This role involves a variety of tasks across all store areas to meet customer service and operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety by practicing safe behaviors and maintaining a secure shopping environment for customers and associates.
• Treat all customers and associates with respect, courtesy, and professionalism; participate in company recognition programs.
• Assist customers with register transactions, merchandise inquiries, and general questions in a polite and knowledgeable manner.
• Greet customers with eye contact, a smile, and a friendly demeanor; ensure prompt and efficient responses to customer service calls.
• Handle customer issues courteously, escalating to store leadership when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized store by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, replenishing restroom supplies, and disinfecting high-touch areas.
• Adhere to the company dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
• Perform daily sizing and recovery tasks to ensure a neat, clean, and efficiently merchandised store.
• Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor, merchandising items according to company guidelines and maintaining brand familiarity.
• Understand and follow the Loss Prevention Awareness program, including merchandise protection standards and proper handling of Mark-Out-of-Stock (MOS) items.
• Follow all policies and procedures for cash, check, charge card, and refund transactions; handle bankable tenders with accuracy.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency and maximize productivity by executing store best practices and minimizing inefficiencies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, associates, and store leadership in a friendly, respectful, and cooperative manner.
• Basic mathematical skills commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work full-time hours.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to use store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs.
• Capability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time.
• Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
• Occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds.
• Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
• For stockroom shifts: Ability to regularly push, pull, and lift more than 20 pounds.
