About the role
POP MART is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support its expansion in the United States. This individual will oversee store operations, ensuring a positive customer and employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Brand Associates, setting expectations, goals, and developing talent
- Act as the manager on duty, focusing on delivering results while maintaining a positive customer and employee experience
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment for customers, employees, and store products
- Set high store standards reflecting POP MART's brand image, values, and culture
- Be a subject matter expert on POP MART's core business information, including characters, products, and company history
- Support company marketing events and RoboShop business as needed
- Drive sales of key products such as blind boxes, MEGA, and accessories
- Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Execute Visual Merchandising and Marketing directives, install marketing materials, and manage inventory
Qualifications
- Retail industry knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Confidence and comfort in engaging customers for a great customer experience
- More than 2 years of store leadership experience in retail
- High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust
- Experience working independently in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to implement effective solutions
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and implement new standardization directives
- High School Diploma
- Must be 18 years old or older
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift, carry, and move merchandise and supplies up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per shift)
- Able to bend, kneel, reach, and climb safely
- Able to perform repetitive tasks such as unpacking boxes, tagging items, and stocking shelves
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment that may require quick movements and multitasking
- Able to work in varying temperature conditions, including stockroom and receiving areas
- Manual dexterity required to operate standard stockroom tools (e.g., box cutters)
