About the Role

As a full-time Assistant Manager, you are the Store Manager’s "right hand" in developing and implementing the business strategy and leading the brand experience of the store. Your passion lies in training and coaching your team into highly effective connectors who consistently provide an unforgettable WOW experience for all guests. With your support, your team achieves revenue targets, prioritizes philanthropic impact, and delivers operational excellence while uniquely and positively representing the Kendra Scott culture.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Focus: Model, teach, and coach WOW service with a “customer is our boss” mentality using the WOW Service Principles. Train and develop others to provide exceptional guest experiences, ensuring all guests feel welcome and part of the Kendra Scott family.
  • Drive Results: As a WAM (WOW Awareness Manager), maximize store productivity and build guest connections to drive sales. Support the Store Team Leader in developing business plans to meet key KPIs and take ownership of specific areas to positively impact store performance.
  • Develop Talent: Motivate and inspire your team through feedback and recognition. Lead by example to create positive experiences for guests on the sales floor and at events. Celebrate outstanding performance and build skills through coaching and development.
  • Build Networks: Increase brand awareness through philanthropic efforts and community initiatives. Achieve event and giveback goals while acquiring new customers through traffic-driving efforts.
  • Instill Trust: Demonstrate integrity, honesty, and authenticity in decision-making. Ensure audit and shrink results meet Asset Protection Standards, follow Kendra Scott policies, and always do the right thing.
  • Communicate Effectively: Articulate clear messages and provide ongoing performance feedback. Actively listen, encourage open expression of diverse opinions, and use various communication platforms to foster mutual understanding and action.

Requirements

  • Must be over the age of 18.
  • Ability to lift and move at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, squat, twist, and reach.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for at least 6 hours per shift.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience leading functional teams in a retail management role.
  • Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, priority-setting, and time management skills.
  • Experience leading and developing teams, with a focus on impacting others’ careers.
  • Strong connections with local media, non-profit organizations, and key partners to drive traffic and brand awareness.
  • Passion for Kendra Scott and the brand’s values: Family, Fashion, and Philanthropy.
  • Willingness to relocate long-term for career growth opportunities is strongly preferred.
  • Must be available to work at least 30 hours per week, including nights and weekends.
