About the role
As an Assistant Store Manager, you provide support and assistance to the Store Manager in all areas of store operations.
Responsibilities
- Initiate the interview process by reviewing applications and scheduling employees
- Assist in appraising performance and making recommendations for disciplinary action
- Direct, supervise, and train retail staff in daily duties related to donations, processing, and sales
- Operate the cash register and point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently
- Perform opening and closing procedures, including banking procedures and daily reconciliation
- Make nightly cash deposits as needed
- Complete detailed reports such as donation counts, readings, daily business statements, deposits, and cash drawer balances
- Conduct monthly store audits
Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic mathematical skills
- Previous supervisory and training experience in customer service, preferably in retail or food service
- Knowledge of cash register procedures, stock control, banking procedures, merchandising, and display

Schedule
