About the role
As the Assistant Store Manager, you support the Store Manager by demonstrating strong leadership skills and ensuring a stellar guest experience. You oversee daily store operations as needed, train and motivate associates, and drive sales results while representing company values.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales by maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty through a best-in-class in-store guest experience.
- Motivate and inspire the team through O’Neill’s core values, holding associates accountable to service standards on the Salesfloor and in the Fitting Room.
- Train and develop associates to maintain outstanding service and a Guest First culture.
- Set clear, attainable goals for Sales Associates and provide ongoing performance feedback through real-time coaching.
- Celebrate outstanding performance to drive associate engagement.
- Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring the best team possible.
- Execute and innovate daily visual and operational procedures, including shipment processing, merchandising moves, and visual standards.
- Ensure Fitting Rooms are always guest-ready and meet O’Neill standards.
- Maintain store safety standards and adhere to Asset Protection policies and procedures.
- Uphold O’Neill’s policies and procedures with integrity.
Requirements
- One year of Retail Management experience.
- Strong multi-tasking skills with attention to detail, priority-setting, and time management.
- Flexible availability to work during peak guest shopping hours.
- Passion for O’Neill product.
