Responsibilities
- Travel and execute the preparation and set-up of retail venues at events under the direction of the Retail Marketing Manager and Event Lead
- Endorse and promote company brands by selling at retail events
- Maximize sales by creating new or updating in-store presentations and displays, ensuring products are merchandised for optimal presentation, and maintaining brand integrity
- Partner with the Retail Marketing Manager to set up visual marketing, signage, and other advertising and promotional programs
- Identify the latest innovations in merchandise presentation and marketing opportunities by reviewing the competition and other vendors in the Western industry; communicate research to Sales and Marketing teams
- Keep current on company product information, fashion trends, merchandise promotions, and marketing strategies
- Summarize all event and promotion feedback with the Retail Marketing Manager and Brand Manager
- Provide product, display, and merchandising training to retailers and employees
- Complete inventory for retail locations
- Obtain brand feedback through store managers, employees, consumers, and event participants, and communicate research to Sales and Marketing teams
- Anticipate product voids and needs and communicate information to the Planning department
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with retailers, account managers, and team members through store visits, seminars, and interactive communication
- Project a professional company image through all interactions
- Have a solid understanding of the company's products and a strong understanding of which products solve each customer's challenge
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
- Maintain current knowledge of department standards, systems, and processes
- Event setup and tear down
- Provide Customer service when needed
- Establish and meet tight deadlines, change direction when necessary, and manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities
Qualifications
- Must be able to travel up to 75%
- Must have an acceptable driving record
- Bachelor's degree in Apparel Merchandising preferred; one to two years of related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have some apparel merchandising experience
- 2-4 years' experience in a customer service or inside sales environment
- Able to read and interpret documents, including process, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Able to write routine reports and correspondence
- Capability to speak in front of large groups
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
