About the role

Working as a Restaurant Food and Beverage Supervisor at The ART Hotel offers an exciting opportunity at the FIRE Restaurant and Lounge at the ART hotel in Downtown Denver, which presents a unique and exciting opportunity for restaurant bussers looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment. FIRE stands out from other Denver FIRE restaurants and bars with its reinvented, local approach. Creative cocktails and savory creations ignite a feeling of warmth within our culinary spaces, all of which feature unique sculptures, installations, and the Denver skyline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising Daily Operations: Overseeing the restaurant's service flow, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Guest Experience & Service: Ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction by addressing concerns, managing special requests, and maintaining Hyatt’s service standards.
  • Team Leadership & Training: Assisting with hiring, training, and mentoring restaurant staff, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring team members follow company policies and procedures.
  • Inventory & Supplies Management: Monitoring stock levels, placing orders for food, beverages, and supplies, and ensuring proper storage and usage to minimize waste.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Adhering to health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as company policies and industry standards.
  • Handling Financial Transactions: Assisting with cash handling, reconciling daily sales, and supporting budgeting and cost control efforts.
  • Collaboration with Other Departments: Working closely with kitchen staff, hotel management, and event teams to coordinate food service, especially for conferences and special events.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and interact well with guests and staff.
  • Self-starting personality with an even temperament, always maintaining a professional appearance and manner.
  • Willingness to pitch in and assist co-workers, promoting a team-oriented work environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food and wine pairing is highly sought after, contributing to an elevated guest experience.

Pay

$25 - $26 per hour
