Requirements

  • Physical ability to complete work in the store/warehouse (concrete floor), even during inclement weather.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Greet and assist ReStore customers and provide customers with a positive shopping experience. Inform customers of ReStore pricing policies. Assist with placing donations and merchandise on the sales floor. Help maintain a clean and presentable ReStore. Perform cashier duties (and complete cashier training). Assist customers in loading purchases. Support and follow all safety and security policies and practices. Provide training and supervision to volunteers regarding sales floor functions as needed. Complete customer service training program.
  • Warehouse/Donation Processing/Merchandising: Move, process and prepare donations for placement on sales floor. Greet donors and provide donors with a positive donation experience. Receive donations from donors, including assisting with removing donations out of donors’ vehicles. Move donations from warehouse to sales floor. Assist with keeping the warehouse clean and organized. Price donated items in accordance with pricing guidelines. Provide training and supervision to volunteers regarding warehouse functions as needed. Complete warehouse training program.
  • General Expectations: Adhere to all safety protocols and communicate safety concerns to team members, donors, customers, and volunteers. Communicate with team members in a positive, constructive manner. Demonstrate the willingness and flexibility to work in any area (showroom, warehouse, trucks) as needed. Demonstrate and reinforce a supportive, people-first environment. Actively communicate with management to address challenges. Fully engage with all training opportunities. Other duties as assigned. Reflect Lexington Habitat’s values of hope, community, empowerment, compassion, and service in decision-making and personal interactions with shoppers, donors, volunteers, and colleagues.
