Join Habitat for Humanity Greater Raleigh as we build homes, communities and hope in Wake, Johnston, and Franklin counties. Our vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live, but we can't get there without the daily work of more than 120 dedicated staff members.

About Habitat Greater Raleigh

There is a tremendous need for affordable housing in our community. One in four families in our community is cost-burdened, meaning they pay too much of their income toward housing at the expense of other necessities like groceries, healthcare and education.

• Provides homeownership opportunities for families making less than 80% AMI and preserves existing affordable homes.
• Advocates for policy change that will increase access to housing for everyone.

Since 1985, Habitat Greater Raleigh has built more than 850 safe, affordable, energy-efficient homes in all parts of Wake, Johnston, and Franklin counties. We've served and served nearly 2,000 families with new construction, home preservation and global building.

Requirements

We are a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization and welcome people of all races, religions and nationalities to partner in our mission. We are looking for creative, energetic and mission-oriented individuals to help us extend our reach and serve more people through new construction, home preservation and advocacy.

Qualifications

All staff must take seriously their ethical responsibilities to safeguarding our intended beneficiaries, their communities (especially children), and all those with whom we work. In line with the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse, all staff must pass a thorough background screening and will be held accountable for upholding our policies around ethical behavior, including safeguarding and whistleblowing.

Habitat AmeriCorps

We are actively recruiting for AmeriCorps members. Please note that acceptance into the program is subject to official position approval, a background check and applicant approval from Habitat for Humanity International. All candidates have to be approved by HFHI before we will receive their resumes.
