About the role
Award Care is searching for a Restorative Nursing Aide to join our patient- and family-focused community. We are looking for a team-oriented, driven individual excited about assisting in building a positive culture and providing direct restorative care to residents.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to residents receiving restorative nursing to promote their ability to attain and maintain maximum function potential and minimize functional decline.
- Deliver restorative care including restorative dining, splints, ADLs, bowel and bladder management, passive and active range of motion, ambulation, and transfers.
- Encourage residents to participate in their assigned programs through verbal cueing, one-on-one support, and safety precautions.
- Maintain documentation on each resident in the Restorative Program and notify management of any changes.
- Contribute innovative, responsible healthcare ideas and concepts to continually improve systems and processes for superior results.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; must be certified/registered in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 12 hours of continuing education required to maintain certification.
- One (1) year of experience preferred in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population.
- Knowledge and skills in basic Restorative Nursing principles and practices preferred.
- Must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to delivering high-quality care.
